Privacy statement

Version 1.0, 1 November 2026

Everbells is a wedding planner and a trade name of Calq B.V., Houtkampswyk 37, 8456 KB De Knipe, the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce 92181570). Calq B.V. is responsible for the personal data Everbells processes. This statement explains which data that is, why we use it, how long we keep it and what your rights are.

1. Your account

When you create an account we store your name, your email address, your password (only as a one-way hash, never readable) and the language you use Everbells in. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, your email address and a Google account number with us; we do not receive your Google password.

We use this to give you access to your planner and to keep your account secure. The legal ground is the agreement between you and us (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). We keep your account until you ask us to delete it, and delete it within 30 days of your request.

2. Your wedding

Everything you enter about your wedding is stored so the planner and the guest site can show it: the names of the couple, the date and times, the city, venues and addresses, the dress code and your notes. We also store who belongs to a wedding (partners and helpers) and what each of them may do.

A guest site is only visible after you publish it, and then to anyone who has its link. You can hide it again at any time. The legal ground is our agreement with you. When an account or wedding is deleted, its data goes with it.

3. Emails

Everbells sends only emails you need to use the service, such as a link to choose a new password. We send them through Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES) in Frankfurt, Germany. We do not send newsletters or marketing.

4. Cloudflare and spam protection

Everbells is delivered through Cloudflare, which makes it faster and protects it against abuse. Cloudflare processes technical data about your visit, such as your IP address, the page you asked for and details about your browser.

On the sign-up and forgot-password forms we use Cloudflare Turnstile, a check that stops automated submissions. Usually you will not notice it. It does not follow you across other websites and sets no advertising cookies.

We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in protecting Everbells and its users against abuse. Cloudflare is an American company and may process data outside the EU; it is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

5. Cookies

Everbells uses only cookies it needs to work: one that keeps you signed in, one that protects forms against misuse from other websites, and the security cookies of Cloudflare. We use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, so we do not ask for cookie consent.

6. Where your data is stored

Everbells runs on a server managed by Calq in a data centre of netcup GmbH in Germany. Backups are kept in the Netherlands for up to six months.

We work with these service providers: netcup (hosting), Cloudflare (network and spam protection), Amazon Web Services (email) and Google (only when you choose to sign in with Google). They process data only to provide their service to us.

7. Security

All traffic to Everbells is encrypted. Passwords are stored only as a hash. Only the people at Calq who build and run Everbells can reach the server and its data.

8. Your rights

You may ask us to see, correct or delete your data, to limit its use, to receive it in a common format, or object to its use. Send your request to [email protected]. We answer within one month.

If you think we handle your data wrongly, please tell us first. You may also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

9. Changes

We update this statement before Everbells processes new kinds of data, for example guest lists, replies from guests or an AI assistant. The version and date at the top show which version applies.
